點選功能表選單的 File>New，出現開啟新檔的對話框：
Name 檔案名稱 Image Size 檔案大小
Width 畫面寬度 Height 畫面高度 Resolution 解析度 Mode 色彩模式，有下列幾種選項：
Bitmap、Grayscale、RGB Color、CMYK Color、LAB Color
一般常用的模式為 RGB Color，若是要作平面輸出則選擇 CMYK Color。Contents 畫面底色
White 白色 Background 背景色 Tansparent 透明
開啟舊檔：File > Open
開啟最近檔案：File > Open Recent
